READ-A-THON HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN! November 2 thru November 16

Reading Dates: November 2 – 16, 2020

Deadline to turn in donations: November 20

Reading Goal: 500 minutes per student = 127,500 minutes

We’re trying something new this year! Since COVID prevents us from hosting our annual Walk-a-thon, we’re taking the fun indoors with a Read-A-Thon! PALS and the Annual Fund are teaming up to present this new fundraiser and will share the proceeds. One of the main goals is to raise enough to cover the costs for three of the four new water bottle filling stations that will be installed at Markell Hall this fall. The fourth filling station has been donated anonymously (thank you, kind donor!). All additional proceeds will go into the Annual Fund to help cover operational expenses that aren’t covered by tuition alone. With so many investments made into keeping our students and staff safe and healthy this year, the school needs these funds more than ever!

Please watch for your Read-A-Thon flyer to come home next week. Each flyer has been  customized to your student, and contains important information to help you set up your student’s personal reading and fundraising site.  Please invite grandparents, aunts and uncles, neighbors, and friends to support your child to reach their reading goal. Kids will earn age-appropriate prizes, and leading readers and fundraisers will earn extra accolades and awards! Let’s work together to support our school community, and to further encourage a love of reading in our students!
