Volunteers are an important part of our school community. There are many jobs that can be done from home, by email or online, that help to support our teachers, students, and fellow families. Even if you cannot volunteer now, we would love to know about your interests and special skills that might contribute to our community when we are able to gather in-person again.
Two current needs:
Teacher appreciation – we need a small group of creative parents who are willing to join our teacher appreciation team. We’ll need to be extra-creative this year due to safety guidelines, but our teachers and staff members need positive boosts from us more than ever!
Tasks might include dropping off birthday cards and a candy bar during their birthday month, organizing a surprise donuts or bagel morning, arranging for special treats throughout the year, and help getting the community involved for our big Teacher Appreciation Week in the Spring.
We don’t know how it will all work yet, that’s why we need more enthusiastic and creative parent volunteers to help figure out how we can safely show our support to our teachers and staff. Contact Heather Carter and Amanda Younger if you are interested at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here’s a handy guide to PALS Officers and project and event leaders. Open positions are BOLD. We encourage volunteers to work together as co-chairs. See a project or event that you like? Grab a friend and start planning! Or talk to a PALS officer to find a new teammate.
